At an elevation of 3000 feet, Hatcher Pass usually has snow before the rest of the area. Although we had snow at our house, it was super fun to head out to Hatcher’s Pass with the Bolds (Bruce, Hilkka, Finley, and Kira) for the weekend. Our family did not quite have it together to get on cross country skis this weekend, but the Bolds got out on skis before we got there. We were prepared to do some sledding. So, we got a little in before dinner. We had fondue and dinner at the lodge, followed by a little time in the sauna, with a creek running underneath, and a night in the cabin. The cabins are nothing fancy, but they were clean ,warm and served the purpose of a get-away spot for outdoor adventures.
